Punjab Examination Commission was established in order to increase the quality of primary and middle level education in Punjab. For this purpose, PEC conducts 5th class exams and 8th class exams in the whole province annually. It is mandatory for the 5th class students of public schools to take part in the exams under PEC while few private schools in Punjab are also affiliated with PEC and their students also appear in the PEC grade 5 exams every year. PEC organizes the 5th class annual exams in the month of February every year. 5th class exams are held in the beginning of the month of February. Thousands of students from all over Punjab participate in the grade 5 exams.

PEC announces the date sheet 2026 of 5th class annual exams in December or January while the students can easily view their complete date sheet 2026 at the official website of PEC. The students can also get their date sheet 2026 from their school while they can also download the date sheet 2026 from PEC website if it is necessary. The students start serious preparation of exams after announcement of the date sheet 2026 and the date sheet helps them to complete their examination preparation before the start of the exams.
