Apart from 5th class exams, Punjab Examination Commission also organizes the 8th class annual exams in the province of Punjab. It is mandatory for students of all the middle level public schools in Punjab to take part in the 8th class exams every year under PEC while students of affiliated private schools can also participate in these exams. PEC conducts the 8th class annual exams in February. 5th class exams are also held in February but 8th class exams start after the 5th class exams. PEC takes only few important and compulsory papers from the students of 8th class in order to save them from unnecessary burden.

PEC announces the date sheet 2026 of the 8th class exams few months earlier than the start of the exams. The concerned students can take their date sheets from their respective schools in the month of December or January. PEC also displays the date sheets at its official site soon after the announcement of the result and the students can view and also download their required date sheet 2026 from the site in case of any problem. After the announcement of date sheet, the students are able to know their examination schedule and they can complete their preparation for exams before the start of the exams.
